Perchance to Dream
The evolution of this recording has been quite a journey, a journey that I never anticipated taking throughout a pregnancy! Yet the pregnancy has made for a more exciting and memorable ride. Even now, while I would love to announce a release date, I still have recordings on my schedule. I was scheduled to finish recording everything last weekend (week 34 of the pregnancy), but I got sick. So One recording is now re-scheduled for the 21st (week 36)! Recording the songs I’m singing with guitar and flute are dependent on the schedules of others. And the Baby is on his or her own schedule, which will ultimately be a surprise to us all.
The photo-shoot for the cover was done in January, by Megan Elisabeth Photography. I am sharing with you now the sneak-preview of Megan’s cover design, which is still subject to change.
CONTENT & TRACK LIST
I hope to get some sound bites posted after my next recording. The thought that united my final choices was: Lullabies. My vision was to produce a recording of some of my favorite relaxing music, including simple lullabies, haunting folk songs, beautiful stories, and ethereal classical pieces. Among these, you can look forward to hearing Rachmoninoff’s “Vocalise,” Faure’s “Apres Un Reve,” and Handel’s “Oh, Who Can Tell?” You can anticipate learning some of the most darling lullabies you’ve ever heard, Folk songs you won’t be able to get out of your head (in a good way), and special Sacred works with a uniting theme of rest, comfort, and love.
Thank you for your interest, for being my fans, and for sharing the journey of this project,
Love,
Bridget
